Notre-Dame college

LOCALISATION

Collège Notre-Dame is a secondary school founded in 1869 by the Congregation of the Holy-Cross. It is located in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, more precisely on 3791 Queen Mary Road.

Before becoming a school, it was a hotel by the name of Hôtel Bellevue. It was purchased afterwards by the congregation and turned into an elementary school for boys of 5 to 12 years of age. In 1969, it became a secondary school. It then became a mixed school with the arrival of girls in 1982. Presently, the institution counts more than 1500 students.

Collège Notre-Dame is renowned for its accomplishments in sports and its unique physical education program. The school is notably known for its football team "les Cactus" who have won 12 Bol d'Or. Subsequently, in the department of arts, the school has a wind instruments orchestra which has received many prizes in the past.
