This year, our team has to carry out a formidable task which will test our knowledge and experience.
Find the main idea for the robot before starting anything
1- Make the plan on scale on Sketchup
2- Make necessary calculations for the operation of the piston
3- Cut with an electric saw the majority of the robot’s wood pieces
4- Build the wheels from a existing model
5- Assemble the motors and attach them under the base
6- Add the multidirectional wheels under the base
7- Assemble the flange of the base
8- Install the air tank
9- Install the piston on the launch’s board
10- Install the launch’s valve
11- Install the pressure regulator
12- Assemble the pusher
13- Install the launcher on the base
14- Install the cortex Vex and certain cables
15- Build and install the clamp
16- Finalize the wiring
The challenge will take place on the surface above. On this playing field, two teams, made up of two robots, will compete to win the most points. Points are accumulated by sending an empty reel on the other side of the wall, in the enemy's area, into one of the rectangles numbered by their value.
For more information, visit the CRC website for an in-depth explanation:
The areas labeled X2 are holes that double the score of the team having thrown its reels. The coils come from the cylindrical distributors which can be observed above. A robot cannot have more than 2 coils at a time. Also, it cannot enter the zone of its opponent, nor can it leave the zone of play.

Bad conception
Restart from the beginning and take more time to make it better
PICTURES AND PLANS
Lack of tools and materials
Bring material or from home or order online if not available
Poor baseline measurements
Use a smaller base without using the metal frame

The launcher with elastic doesn't work
Changing tactics with a pneumatic launcher
Piston that does not work
Repairing the wrong connection to a valve

Choice between clamp or conveyor to collect coils
Creating a table with the pros and cons and proceeding with a vote

Launcher that doesn't throw the coil far enough
Put a varnish on the launching board in order to reduce friction
Poor video quality
Changed the camera despite the fact that it didn't really improve things
Poor audio quality
Bring your own microphone and use a homemade mic holder
Poor time management
Refilm all the rushed scenes with a precise schedule and without the unfocused actors
